BIOGRAPHY

In 1906, Elias Disney decided to start a new life on a farm near the small town of Marceline, Missouri, where Walt discovered nature and animals. Also then, his interest in drawing was born, which he shared with his little sister, Ruth.

In 1909 his father became ill and the family had to move to Kansas City. There he would start working as a newspaper deliveryman, a job that he combined with his studies, in which he did not stand out. He preferred drawing and comics; The first ones he drew would appear in the newspaper of his high school in Chicago, where the family had moved again.

In 1918, young Walt tried to enlist in the army. As he was not old enough, he falsified his birth certificate and, pretending to have turned seventeen, he managed to be admitted as a Red Cross ambulance driver. However, by the time he finished his training, World War I had already ended and his job was reduced to transferring officers.

Walt Disney's dream was to become an artist, and to do so he moved to Kansas City. There he began working as an apprentice at the Pesmen-Rubin Commercial Art Studio agency, where he met Ubbe Iwerks, an American animator and special effects technician – who in the future would actively participate in the creation of Mickey Mouse. Their friendship led them to found a company, Iwerks-Disney Commercial Artists, but the dream barely lasted a month since Disney preferred a secure job, so he went to work at Kansas City Film Ad, although he convinced his new bosses so that they would also hire Iwerks. Two years later, Disney believed that he had already acquired all the knowledge necessary to undertake a new project.

In 1924 he joined his friend Ubbe Iwerks, which allowed Walt to pursue his passion: creating characters, scripts and directing. On July 13, 1925, Disney married Lillian Bounds, a studio employee, with whom he would have two daughters. After having to change locations, because the previous one had become too small, the company was renamed Walt Disney Studio, but suffered a setback when its main client was left with the rights to a character created by them called "the rabbit." Oswald."

That fatal episode forced Disney to dispense with intermediaries between him and his creations. During a trip to New York, Disney conceived his star character, whom he initially called Mortimer, although at the suggestion of his wife he would end up being called Mickey. Disney provided the original voice of Mickey between 1928 and 1947. As was the case with the works of all great geniuses, there was a rumor that the beloved mouse did not come from Walt's pencils, but no one was ever able to prove it. Since then, Mickey became a symbol and even, according to an American survey, the best-known character in the world. One of the most unknown anecdotes is that Walt himself voiced Mickey in more than one hundred titles

CONCLUSIONS

Mr. Walter elias disney was an iconic character in the industrial, you could say that the character who took him and continues to name him even after his death is mickey mouse, however he was not the only character or important project that he carried out during his career, in in 1932, disney created the silly symphonies, a series of short films where donald duck, pluto and goofy appear for the first time. A year later, in the same series of shorts, "the three little pigs" made their appearance, who were going to have an unexpected success with the song who's afraid of the big bad wolf. This became a kind of anthem for all those victims of the great depression that affected the united states. In 1937, disney produced his first feature film, snow white and the seven dwarfs. With this film, he showed that cartoons could be a genre in themselves.

In addition to his film projects, since the 1940s, disney had in mind the construction of an amusement park so that his employees and his families could have fun in their free time. Over time, this rather modest project would grow until it became what we know today as disneyland.
